Second hand smoker

Not a smoker, have never been, probably never will.

But do you know that even if you do not smoke you can get lung cancer too? Yes, from second hand smoke. And it's prove to be even more deadly than if you were to smoker.

Just got news that a good friend's elder sister, a non-smoker, has just been diagnosed with fourth stage lung cancer. She is not a smoker and has never been. As her younger sister and me were pretty good friends for so many years even after our marriages - we have gone on family vacations together and even stayed at their home a number of times whilst on vacation - and as such we know her sister fairly well. She used to be healthy and active - jetsetting every other month to spend time with her immediate and other families who live in Australia, Shanghai and also Malaysia.

Now she is in a hospital in Perth, awaiting chemotherapy. And that's not even her home. She hails from Kuching and was in Perth to visit one of her daughters and granddaughter who are living there, when she was diagnosed.

I guess that's the reality of life. Anything can hit you when you least expected it. So, what should we do? Live life to the fullest, and don't forget to tell our loved ones that we love them, because we don't know what the maker has in store for us.
